Party season in Dubai runs from National Day weekend straight through to New Year’s Eve, and the salons fill up fast. Getting your party hair and nails in Dubai right is mostly about timing: colour needs time to settle, skin needs a few days after a facial, and nails and blow-dries belong at the very end. Here is the week-by-week salon timeline our stylists give clients, with real prices from our two Barsha Heights branches.

4–6 weeks before: big hair changes
Anything that changes your hair for good goes first. A new colour, highlights or a balayage needs a couple of weeks to settle, and it gives you time for a toner refresh if the shade isn’t quite right. Hair colour at Mimosa starts at AED 315 for short hair. Our current Hair Makeover offer starts at AED 749 on the promotions page.
This is also the window for a keratin treatment. Dubai’s humidity is hard on party hair, and keratin keeps frizz down for months. Booking it early means your hair has been through a few washes and looks natural by the big night. Our current AntiFrizz Keratin offer is AED 849.
7–10 days before: skin and roots
Facial
A facial can bring a little redness or a breakout as skin clears, so leave it at least a week before the party. A Dermalogica facial starts at AED 130 for the Face Fit Express, and AED 290 for Power Bright if you want glow before photos.
Roots touch-up
If you already colour your hair, book roots about a week out so the regrowth is covered but the colour isn’t flat. Roots start at AED 260. The Roots + Olaplex offer is AED 380 and adds bond repair for hair that’s been heat-styled all season.
About 1 week before: brows and lashes
Brow lamination and lash lifts need 24–48 hours to set and look most natural after a few days, so book them around a week before. A lash lift is AED 250, lash lift and tint AED 300, and brow lamination AED 300 on our lashes and brows page.
2–3 days before: waxing, lash extensions and nails
Waxing
Wax two to three days before so any redness has gone. Underarms start at AED 50, half leg AED 75, and the current full-body offer is AED 250. See waxing and threading.
Lash extensions
Fresh lash extensions look fullest in the first days, so book a full set or refill close to the party. Half volume is AED 250 and full volume AED 400. If you already wear extensions, a refill is AED 220.
Party nails: gel or BIAB
Do nails last, so there are no chips by the night. A gel manicure starts at AED 140, or AED 290 as a gel combo with feet. For more strength and a longer-lasting finish, BIAB starts at AED 250. Christmas and New Year nails in Dubai
Festive nails are the easiest way to dress up a party look. Popular picks this season are deep red or berry gel, gold or silver chrome, a French tip with a glitter line, and cat-eye shades that catch the light. Chrome and cat-eye full sets start from AED 100, and hand-painted nail art from AED 15 per nail. Book Christmas and New Year nails 2–3 days before, and bring a photo of your outfit so we can match the shade.
Day before and on the day: brows and hair
Eyebrow threading (AED 35) is a quick tidy-up the day before. Leave the blow-dry for the day itself: AED 120 for short hair up to AED 170 for extra long, with updos from AED 250. Party evenings book out first, so reserve your slot as soon as your plans are fixed.

Group and corporate party bookings in Dubai
Getting ready with friends, a bridal party or your whole team? We take group bookings for birthdays, office parties, company events and other occasions. Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should I book salon appointments for New Year’s Eve in Dubai?
Book in November if you can. Colour and keratin need 4–6 weeks before the night, and blow-dry slots on 31 December are usually the first to go.
Should I get a facial right before a party?
No. Leave a facial 7–10 days before an event so any redness or breakout settles, and your skin looks its best on the night.
How long before an event should I get lash extensions?
Two to three days before. That’s close enough that they look full and fresh, with time to adjust anything you’re not happy with.
Can Mimosa take a group booking for a party or company event?

Gel or BIAB for party nails?
